Baltic Sea 2013

On 9th April 2013, Shabab Oman set sail from Said bin Sultan Naval Base and headed towards Europe to participate in the Rouen Armada Regatta in France, the Den Helder Regatta in the Netherlands and the Baltic Sea Tall Ships Regatta. She experienced a north-westerly wind of 40 knots before anchoring in the Port of Jeddah. She then continued her itinerary to Europe and berthed in the River Oder River on 3rd August, along with 91 ships from all over the world. She took part in the regatta’s final ceremony on 5th August and won the International Friendship Trophy for the tenth time. Shabab Oman returned home on 10th October 2010 with great achievements through 27 weeks of deployment, during which she covered more than 15000 nautical miles and visited 19 ports of 15 countries. -R
