Europe 2010

Shabab Oman departed from Said bin Sultan Naval Base on 14th April 2010 to participate in the following events: Historical Seas which began from the Greek Port of Volos, Tall Ships Regatta, North Sea Tall Ships Regatta, 8th Sail Amsterdam and the Bremerhaven International Tall Ships Festival in Germany. Throughout this voyage, the ship made stopovers in the ports of many friendly countries, before continuing with Her itinerary to take part in these regatta. In Hartlepool, Shabab Oman won the International Friendship Trophy out of 60 tall ships representing 20 countries. In honour of this glorious voyage, RNO organized an official reception ceremony for Shabab Oman and Her crew upon Her arrival at Said bin Sultan Naval Base on 25th October 2010 after a long voyage that had lasted for more than six months and covered more than 16000 nautical miles.
